この度、APARTMENT HOTEL SHINJUKU 1F GALLERYにて、アートユニットNNNIによるインスタ レーション展を開催いたします。 複雑に絡み合うリズムや空間的なサウンドにシンク ロする鮮烈な映像によるストーリーを主軸に、立体音 響・ドローイング・スカルプチャ・オブジェなど様々 な要素を取り込む、空間全体を使ったインスタレー ションを「私たちがしないこと」と題し展開します。

「私たちがしないこと」とは作家である「私」たちが しないことであり、また鑑賞者の「私たち」がしない ことでもあります。展示をみている鑑賞者の「私た ち」が、作家の視点からの表出された「私たち」と交 差し、主観と客観が錯綜することで生じるズレや錯 覚、誤解や曲解を対比的に映し出し、〈虚像としての 私〉と、今ここにいる〈実像の私〉という2つの私を重 ね合わせる構造をつくります。このネストさせた構 造による表現を鑑賞者が覗き込むことで、こちらの「私たち」の価値観がツイストし、鑑賞者であるそちらの「私たち」へ訴えかける作品世界を提示します。 会場は新宿高島屋至近でありながら、通り一本裏路地の混沌とした地区に ある、古いビジネスホテルをリノベーションして生まれ変わった非常にコン セプチュアルなホテルとなっており、ロビーや地下には厳選した古道具の販 売を行うショップ機能も備えています。近隣の混沌とした空虚さから、通り を抜けると新宿の中心地へとアプローチする、そんな不思議な立地にある ギャラリーを使い、その空間と呼応する立体的な展示を行うことで、本展の コンセプトである虚構や現実の狭間をよりリアルに体験いただけます。

– The installation exhibition “SOMETHING WE DON’T DO” will represent a visionary story which advantageously involves the whole space composed with several medias, such as a multi-video projection, drawings, sculptures and the three-dimensional sound systems that synchronize with complicated rhythms and sounds. “SOMETHING WE DON’T DO” indicates what “WE- the artists”don’t do and what “WE- the viewers”don’t do. The point of view of “WE”, which could be both the viewers or artists themselves, crosses back and forth to each other through the gap between the first perspective and the third perspective. It reflects the paradoxical misinterpretation of the true meaning behind “WE” on the surfaces such as on mirrors, water or smartphones. “WE” screen out the fictional “WE” by having the viewers to gaze into the montage of the present tense reality of “WE” to twist the point of view.
